Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, to me! I can't believe that I am 22 years old! These last couple of years have gone by SO fast. I am getting older (and wiser) and I am grateful for the things and the people that I have in my life! I'm also grateful for my parents to taught me what was right and I'm glad that I have listened to the "Kindred Family Rule #5" which is Don't Be an Idiot. I am very happy with who I am and where I am going. I hope these next couple of years of my life turn out to be as great as the last few!

I am getting a new CAMERA for my birthday, I just have to wait until January to get it. Today Bryce and I hung out and went shopping and then went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Granny sent us a gift card for it for $25 bucks, so we only had to spend $15. We had yummy food and now we are relaxing and we are going to watch Harry Potter! It was a great day!

More couch pillows

My iPhone camera pictures don't do my pillows justice. I cleaned up from our Christmas mess and took some cuter pictures of my couch pillows. I just want to put them on my blog so I can always remember them :)

Up close and personal

ahh, beauty.

a very cute sign that my mom made me for Christmas. I am going to hang it up above my little couch below the window

I never in my life thought that I would enjoy sewing or decorating a house. I'm becoming more and more like my mother. Which is a good thing!

Couch Pillows

Before Bryce and I got married we had an apartment already and were in the process of looking for furniture. I found a great and white striped couch that was so cute and I loved it. It was $25 at a yard sale. After buying it and bringing it inside it was a little dirtier then I realized. But I guess I did only pay $25 bucks for it. After months and months of looking for couch covers I finally bought some. It was the best decision I made for that couch. I didn't feel gross sitting on it and it just looked nice.

The pillows on the couch are not the cleanest but I couldn't clean the pillows. (They are huge and they didn't have a zipper on it). So, I made new pillow cases! They are soooo dang cute. My friend Stephanie's sister in law, Lacee helped me. They turned out great. They are still a little lumpy but I am working on that. I was also able to put zippers on them so I can wash them too. I am excited. The day after I made them I had to work all day and all I wanted to do was look at them. Well, that's enough about my couch. Let me show you some pictures:

The first original couch
This was a small love seat (that was green) that we got from our neighbors

Both the couches with couch covers

The new and improved green striped couch.
(The 2 small red pillows actually go on the other couch but it was cute for the picture)

I love the way it turned out!

It's also Christmas Eve and Bryce was supposed to work all day but he was throwing up last night and is now conked out on the couch. I was watching Christmas with the Kranks earlier, but I was all alone. I'm trying to wake him up but it's no use. I think I will go bake some Rolo Cookies to eat...by myself.

Merry Christmas!

Linx Cruise pictures!

I went on my work cruise to Ensenada Mexico last weekend. It was a fun trip! Bryce didn't go because he was hunting with his dad that weekend. So, some friends from work and I set out on an adventure! 1st stop: LAS VEGAS! Totally not as cool as I thought it would be.
1. I don't gamble
2. I don't drink or smoke.

1st we get to our hotel room and from the window we have this view!

The New York New York. We (Lance and Bryan) decided that we want to ride it. So we make our way over there. It was a scary roller coaster. And I like roller coasters. The drops were too long, I seriously thought I was going to die. Anyways, we did it for the experience. Then we decided to get some food. Next up is to walk through the MGM. It was pretty cool. I didn't bring walking shoes because I didn't really plan on walking anywhere. (My plan for the cruise was to lay out in my swim suit all day). My feet were KILLING me. And this was  the 1st casino we went to. The guys wanted to walk down to Ceasers Palace and the Belagio. We did but my feet weren't too happy about it.

Next stop: Long Beach, California to get on our CRUISE ship!

my "i'm not happy about this weather because I'm wrapped in a blanket and a hoodie when I should be in my swimsuit" face.

BURRITO

My work loves competition. Especially if it involves money. They played shuffleboard for hours and had a $200 dollar reward. I didn't play, but I didn't care. Tiffany and I were buddies the whole time. We were disappointed in the weather but it was a FREE cruise, so we can't complain. Ensenada had beautiful weather but where the ship was docked was overcast and cold.

At night we went to the comedy shows. They were a little on the crude side but they were still funny. We went to those, watched our friends play blackjack and we went dancing with friends too. It was a great trip and I hope to go again next year!

Horseback Riding

Bryce has been dying to go horseback riding so we decided to go! It was at Soilder Hallow, in the Canyon! It was a little cold but the view was beautiful! It was lots of fun. We went with a group (but we didn't know them). When they were getting us on our horses, Bryce saw a horse that he didn't want. Then the guides called him and he got that one. I was a little nervous so I wanted a small horse. I saw the biggest horse and I was thinking, please don't let me have that one. Then they called me and they put me on the BIGGEST horse. I got the horse Bryce wanted and the one I didn't. I was asking the guides about my horse and they said that he was the best horse here. So that made me feel a little better.

Bryce on his horsie. We forgot his name though.

"Home, home on the range"

I asked Bryce to take a picture of me on my horse. He must have only heard the "me" part because you can't tell what I'm sitting on.

"Woody" kept wanting to eat the grass instead of take pictures

After I saw the picture of me without the horse Bryce had to take another one.

"Woody"

Do you see how tall he is? Look at my stirrup. I had to use a step stool to put my foot in it.

It was a lot of fun and I wasn't nervous after we started going. I didn't mind going up into the mountians but I didn't like going down the hills. It was a little wet and the horse in front of me slipped a few times. (Nothing happened, his foot just slid) so it made me nervous that my horse was doing that too. I couldn't feel it but Bryce said he did slip. Oh well. It was a great time and Bryce got to have an hour of being a "cowboy".

80s Dancing

Earlier this month a couple of us from work went 80s dancing! It was lots of fun dressing up! Shopping was fun too. Our clothes that we had to buy were pretty cheap so that good! Here are some pictures!

I'm going on a...

CRUISE!!
I was a supervisor over the summer for my work. (Linx Satellite-a retailer for Dish Network and DirecTv.) I put lots of hours and effort into it and my hard work is paying off! We had an end of summer "Linx Royal" party in September. I was recognized for my hard work there and got a $100 gift card to the mall and I thought that was sweet. So, the other day my boss and office manager call me into the office and say "do you know why I called you in here?" And I'm thinking, okay I haven't done anything wrong, I'm still working alot and doing the things I should be, what the heck is going on. I say no and then I was asked what I am doing on Oct 20th-24th. My response is "working?!?!". Like, I sure hope I still have a job....Then Joel (my boss) asked me if I wanted to go on the Linx Cruise! My mouth dropped. Only the sales reps went on the cruise. I was so shocked! Of course I said yes because how could you say no to a free cruise.

I am so excited! A couple of other friends (supervisors) are going on the cruise too so I can't wait. Only 3 more weeks left. We are going to Ensenda Mexico. I went on a cruise there back in 2008 with my family but hey a free cruise is a free cruise. I am stoked.

Anyways I just thought I would write about that. I will be taking pictures of the cruise so be prepared for that within a month. Also, Bryce isn't going on the cruise. He also isn't bummed about it. He has fall break that week/weekend and is going hunting with his dad. He's pretty excited about that.

Well, I am now going to finish making my cake pops and snuggle with my cat!
